Jaigarh fort is the most attractive fort. The fort was built in 1726 by Sawai Jai Singh. The World's largest cannon on wheel, Jaivan, is to be found here. It is similar to Amer Fort in structure. Whenever Man Singh I (late 16th century) warred and won gold, silver, jewels and other booty, they hoarded it in the Jaigarh Fort. And they had the loyal Minas to fiercely guard their haul.

It was one of the few ancient Indian military structures to be kept intact through the ages. Also other interesting places are gardens, a granary, an armoury, a well planned cannon foundry, temples, a tall tower and a giant mounted canan i.e. the Jai Ban.

Jaigarh or the 'Fort of Victory' is nestled on Chilh ka Tola (Hill of Eagles), which is 400 feet above from the Amer Fort. The walls of the fort are spread over three kilometers. The fort's other entrance is through the Awani Darwaza in the east. The extensive parkotas (walls) watch tower and gateway of jaigarh dominate the western skyline.

The fort also houses a beautiful museum and gives breathtaking views of Jaipur below and Amer Fort.

The fort served as the treasury of the Kachcawas. It is a remarkable feat of military architecture in a fine state of preservation, with water reservoirs, residential areas, a puppet theatre and world largest wheeled cannon, Jaya Vana.
