Kanak Vrindavan Temple in Jaipur is known for its beautiful location and also for the beautiful architecture of the temple.
The construction of this temple goes back to the era of Sawai Raja Jai Singh II. It is believed that when Aurangzeb was destructing all the Hindu temples, Raja Jai Singh II went overnight to Vrindavan and brought seven pairs of idols of Radha-Krishna. He constructed separate temples for all seven of them in Jaipur. The Govind Dev Ji temple at Kanak Vrindavan Temple in Jaipur is among those seven temples that were constructed by Jai Singh II. Apart from the temple of Govind Dev Ji, a temple of Shri Natwar Ji is also located at Kanak Vrindavan complex. The visitors arriving here would be delighted to see beautiful fresco paintings on the walls and stunning panni work that is unique to this temple. The chatris, mesh and mirror work in the temple are extremely beautiful.
