The famous Zoological Garden in Jaipur provides you with a unique opportunity to watch fascinating wildlife from close quarters. More popularly known as 'Jaipur Zoo', the Zoological Garden is located within the expansive complex of Ram Niwas Bagh. Visit to the zoo is allowed on 6 days of the week except Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during summers and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during winters. Nearly 71 species of different birds and animals from all over the world can be seen at the Zoological Garden in Jaipur.

Among the incredible variety of animals at the Jaipur Zoo, the ones that are the biggest crowd pullers are lion, tiger, white tiger, leopard and panther. One can also see the different varieties of deer like spotted deer and sambhar deer, alligators, crocodiles, tortoise, fox, jackal, hyena, brown, black and red bear at the Zoological Garden in Jaipur. Crocodiles are a major attraction of the garden that houses a huge crocodile breeding farm.

The Zoological Garden is not only known for its ferocious animals but is also home to a large variety of some of the most beautiful and rare species of birds from across the world. A separate section within the garden is exclusively meant for birds that include ducks, goose, white peacock, chattering lorry, parrot and pheasant. You can also see some migratory birds like pelicans, painted storks, black-necked storks, white ibis and cranes at the Jaipur Zoo.
