Day 1: Arrival at Delhi
Upon your arrival at the airport, meet our representative awaiting just outside the arrival hall, past the customs area & currency shops. Later at the hotel our representative will brief you about tour starting day after.Delhi, the national capital of India is an historic city and commercial centre of Northern India.
Day 2: Delhi - Mandawa
In the morning, leave Delhi for Mandawa. These cities of Shekhawati region are renowned for best preserved havelis or castles dating back to the age of royalty in Rajasthan. Explore finest castles of Rajasthan, which are now a beautiful hotel and has beautiful frescoes. Visit the 'Havelis' of Mandawa to explore some of the finest works of frescoes. Arrive Mandawa and check in at the hotel.
Day 3: Mandawa – Bikaner
Leave for Bikaner, a remote town tucked away in the Thar Desert. Once in Bikaner and after lunch, proceed on a sightseeing tour. The desert town continues to impress with its imposing fort and increased popularity of camel safaris. Take a trip to massive Junagarh Fort, the 5.28 hectares large precinct of the fort is laced with impressive palaces, exquisite temples and pavilions. Laxmi Niwas Palace is the next highlight of the city tour. The palace built in Indo-Saracenic style is also a luxury hotel and thus provides an opportunity to live life King size. Also explore Deshnoke Rat Temple; also known as Karni Mata Temple this unique holy shrine is famous for its rats which are treated as sacred and are fed by temple authorities. The city is also renowned for 27 of its beautiful Jain temples out of which Bhandasar Jain Temple deserves a special mention. Pay homage to the 5th Tirthankar Lord Sumatinath at this temple which is famed for being the most beautiful and highest Jain temple. Return to the hotel by evening for overnight stay.
Day 4: Bikaner – Jodhpur
This morning leave for Jodhpur. The city painted in blue, Jodhpur is the renowned Blue City of Rajasthan. Featuring various forts, palaces and temples in the middle of stark landscape of Thar Desert, Jodhpur paints the region in the colour of royalty. The houses painted in blue colour around and the vibrant bazaars add joviality to the deserted region. Afternoon visit the Mehrangarh Fort, which literally means "Majestic Fort", located at the very centre of the city. Close to the fort complex lies this white marble cenotaph, built in 1899, in commemoration of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. At the foot of the fort, lies the "Jaswanth Thada", a richly carved white marble cenotaph. Take an afternoon jeep safari to the picturesque Bishnoi village to experience rustic Rajasthani life.Also visit the Clock Tower - the city centre. Also Explore Umaid Palace Gardens before you return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 5: Jodhpur - Udaipur via Ranakpur
Today we drive to Udaipur- set on the edge of three lakes & also known as the "City of Lakes & Palaces". Undoubtedly one of the most romantic cities in India, its beautiful Palaces are mirrored in the calm waters of Lake Pichola & the city is a brilliant kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens, lakes, palaces & temples. En route we will visit Ranakpur, renowned for some marvellously carved Jain temples in marble.
Day 6: Udaipur Sightseeing
Let the glorious sunrise dazzle you at breakfast. The breathtaking beauty of the lakes- Pichola & Fateh Sagar truly makes Udaipur an oasis in the desert. Morning excursion to the famous temple complex of Eklingji & Nagda. Wander through the opulent City Palace grounds and the museum. Visit the Jagdish temple on the shores of Lake Pichola a large Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple situated on a raised terrain was built in 1651 and forms a beautiful pyramidal shape. In the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola, the surrounding hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats & embankments, enhance the beauty of the lake.
Day 7: Udaipur – Deogarh
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Deogarh. Later in the afternoon visit for a sightseeing tour of Deogarh, located on a hillock and encircled by the town. Constructed by the famed Sompura architects, Deogarh School of painting has acquired fame the world over. The family has a large collection of Deogarh miniatures. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Deogarh – Jaipur
Early morning after a leisurely breakfast, drive to Jaipur. On Arrival, check in at hotel. In the evening visit the glittering bazaars of Jaipur. Thereafter return back to the hotel via Birla Mandir. An evening excursion to Chokhi Dhani complex, ethnic village resort located at a distance of 15 kms from Jaipur. After traditional dinner, drive back to the hotel in Jaipur and O/N stay.
Day 9: Jaipur Sightseeing
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and leave for a half-day sightseeing tour to the hilltop fortress of Amber. A small trek up the hill will be covered while riding an elephant in the royal manner. Today the structure stands with its beautifully carved ceilings, intricate patterns and stunning designs. In the afternoon, tour the old walled city of Jaipur. Visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory- an assortment of architectural astronomical instruments. The stunning City Palace will be our next destination. City Palace is a complex of various palaces in Jaipur which is an erstwhile seat of Maharaja of the region. Drive-by the gorgeous Hawa Mahal- a palace with hundreds of ornamental windows, built for royal ladies to be able to watch the daily processions of city.
Day 10: Jaipur - Agra via Fatehpur Sikri
Morning drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. The monuments and edifices of Fatehpur Sikri are applauded by UNESCO for they showcase a beauteous synthesis of various regional schools of architecture and influences of Hindu, Jain and Islamic architectural styles can be seen here. Explore the beautiful edifices inside which includes Jama Masjid, the Buland Darwaza, palace of Queen Jodha Bai, Birbal's Palace, tomb of Saint Salim Chisti inside.
Day 11: Agra - Delhi
This day is spent exploring the best of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Agra. In afternoon, visit the ultimate emblem of love and an edifice that has most rightly been called a World Wonder- Taj Mahal. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Taj Mahal is a UNESCO acclaimed site and is called “the jewel of Muslim art in India” for its beauteous design and configuration. Later, visit the imposing structure of Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of public and private audience. Also visit, the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah a replica of Taj Mahal often regarded as a draft of the famous mausoleum was built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. Later explore Sikandra. Tomb of Akbar the Great, a magnificent specimen of Mughal architecture, is situated at Sikandra. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 12: Departure from Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast. A full day sightseeing tour of Delhi is planned for the day. Today Delhi will unleash its historic and cultural heritage as you are introduced to various awe inspiring monuments. Start exploring from the undulated lanes of Old Delhi. The attractions here worth visiting first include the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site of Red Fort and the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. The day tour will also include visits to one of the largest brick minarets of the world- Qutab Minar, white lotus shaped Baha’i Temple- Lotus Temple, the stunning Humayun's Tomb built in 1562 CE, and beauteous Laxmi Narayan Temple.
